Dreamweaver Assignment #1
About Me

To begin the Dreamweaver unit, you will be creating a 4 page website that best describes yourself and the various interesting thing that makes you who you are.

Create a “general” homepage (remember to same this page as “index”), which will be used as a general introduction, with the other 3 pages being anything you want, as long as it is relevant to yourself (sports, clubs, family, pets, fav: foods, music, sports teams, books, activities….the possibilities are endless).

*NOTE: homepage = index, all other pages must have a relevant name!

Requirements:
All elements must be aligned inside of a invisible table
Pages saved and named properly
Include a min of 1 pic per page
Include a min of 2 rollover images= preferably in the navigation bar
A min of 3 anchors
Include a min of 1 hot spot
Create a navigation bar that links all pages together
A custom background must be created in Photoshop
A custom banner- may be made in Flash or Photoshop
Splash page(optional-bonus marks)- be creative in Flash with your splash page

Graphics and Layout:
Create a unified layout- Aligned images and text- dominant photo
Colour scheme must be consistent, use http://kuler.adobe.com/ to find a colour scheme you like.
COLOUR SCHEME!!! (background, text, links and images work well together)
Fixed table cells in pixels, other areas in % so it will fill different screens
Design invokes elegance, maturity, balance and symmetry
No clutter (everything spaced evenly)
Check your work in various screen resolutions to check its appearance (if possible in different browsers.

CONSISTANCY!! CONSISTANCY!! CONSISTANCY!!

Navigation and Linkage:
Some pics/text must link to external pages, internal pages

Content:
All info in point form (no need for paragraphs)
Font large enough and easy to read- consistent font.
All images to be resized in Photoshop “save for Web” at the appropriate size so they load fast. Fix any colour or lighting problems with Photoshop.

Also be PROACTIVE- If you are behind, or confused, and I cannot get to you in time.... then look at my ebooks in my handout file..or search your question using Google. I am also here every day after school in my office (in the artroom)
